The plastic retention clip which holds the heat sink and fan unit to my [AMD socket 939 ]motherboard has broken. This clip is fixed to the motherboard by two screws and can therefore be removed easily. Question is: where can I buy a new one (UK)? Or is there a newer solution which can still be fixed to the motherboard via the two existing screw holes in the motherboard. I really don't want to buy a new motherboard for the sake of a piece of plastic!!
Cheers.

I don't understand what you mean. Is it for the cpu or a chipset? You may find an aftermarket heatsink/fan with additional hardware that may work.

OK, never broke one, but you don't want the heatsink sitting loose against the cpu. I assume that if they are available in the US, then you can get them almost anywhere, its just a matter of looking.
