My laptop (MS Win98SE) seems to "hang up" periodically when web surfing. It happens whether I'm using IE or Firefox. I click on a link and and I get the hourglass - sometimes for a full minute or two - usually untill I get the "timed out" error message. Then everything will be fine for 10 minutes or so, quick downloads from my Comcast cable with no problems. Then it'll happen again. I've run Adaware and Spybot - but they come up clean. Everything else seems to be OK - no pop ups or anything, just this hang-up problem. I don't think it's my wireless network - I've got a desktop and another laptop on it and they don't seem to have this problem. I'm thinking it must be something on this computer that's causing this.
