I am still having a problem with my browser being hijacked. It becomes unusable about 10 minutes after booting up my machine. McAfee comes out clean and I've also run Spybot Search and Destroy. I am running XP home edition. Thanks.
Here is the log from hijack this:

Download the Registry Search Tool here:

    http://www.billsway.com/vbspage/

Unzip it and run it. If your antivirus inteferres you may have to disable script blocking in the antivirus. Copy and Paste the following lines one at a time in the search box:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\winlow

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\winlow

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vdmt16

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\vdmt16

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\drct16

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_VDMT16

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW

Save the results of each search and then post them here please.

Here is the results of running the search. All searches were clean except the last one:

    REGEDIT4
    ; RegSrch.vbs © Bill James

; Registry search results for string "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW" 2/15/2005 9:26:25 PM

; NOTE: This file will be deleted when you close WordPad.
; You must manually save this file to a new location if you want to refer to it again later.
; (If you save the file with a .reg extension, you can use it to restore any Registry changes you make to these values.)

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW\0000]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW\0000\LogConf]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_WINLOW\0000\Control]

    First, download HSFix from here.

After it is downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called "HSFix" and extract all the files into the newly created folder.

    Next, download CleanUp! from here.

Install it, but do not run it yet.

Boot into safe mode: Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Locate the HSFix folder on your desktop, open it, and double-click "hsfix.bat"

A log will be produced which you can close out of.

Now run HijackThis again, close any open windows and browsers and fix these:

    O4 - Startup: WindowsUpdate24369[1].exe

    O4 - Startup: Copy of WindowsUpdate24369[1].exe

Delete these files in the C:\Documents and Settings\Your user profile/account name here\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder:

    WindowsUpdate24369[1].exe
    Copy of WindowsUpdate24369[1].exe

Run CleanUp! and let it clean your computer of temp files. Decline when it asks you to log off.

Restart your computer into normal mode and run at least one of the following free, online virus scans:
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co...n_principal.htm
    http://www3.ca.com/threatinfo/virusinfo/scan.aspx

Restart your computer one last time and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the HSFix log which is located at C:/hslog.txt
