Hello, earlier today I started having this problem which has been annoying me all day! My web browsers (IE9 and GoogleChrome) say they cannot connect to the internet. This happens with any webpage. This even happens with a local address for my Router! This problem doesn't happen when the computer is in Safe mode with networking. It also doesn't work with a clean boot. I for sure know I am connected to the internet, because I CAN USE SKYPE!!! Any ideas? Please HELP! My firewall is disabled, I have no proxies in the lan settings, I have no viruses, I removed some earlier with MalwareBytes. I've also tried WinSockFix without success. I AM GRATEFUL TO WHOEVER CAN HELP ME WITH MY ISSUE, THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    Computer specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit
    1Gb RAM
    Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz 2.99 Ghz Proccessor
    Service Pack 2

What firewall / security suite or anti-virus do you currently have on the PC - or you have ever had on the PC in the past - any trial ware - like Norton, kaspersky or Mcafee or any free security suites like zonealarm, AVG , Webroot etc

Oh, my god. I had this trial software called Hide My Ip, I uninstalled it while it was running. Today I re-installed it and it was working like a charm! I hope this isn't the cause of my problem, I'm scared to uninstall it now. :(
    I currently using MalwareBytes trial.
