I recently have been getting BSOD screens after resuming from standby. I'm not sure what is causing it, but the computer mentioned a Driver Power State Failure. :(

System: Windows Vista 32bit home premium
    Motherboard: Asus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe

I attached four of the most recent minidumps.

Your four minidump files point to usbhub.sys. A USB driver problem.

the only thing i can think of is my monitor. it has 2 usb ports on the back of it, with a cable running from the monitor to the computer to allow me to use the usb ports.

I will try unplugging the cable and see what happens, but i would really like to use this feature of my monitor.

do you know any workaround if this is the problem?

you happen to be the first to pinpoint a cause.

You might need to remove the usb extender and plug the computer directly into the monitor's usb port.

My computer crashed again. i don't know if this is relevant, but the computer crashes after about 5-15 mins of use after standby resume.

let me post the latest dmp and see if you can see if there are any changes.

Same thing, the USB driver is causing an inconsistent power state.

somebody has suggested this hotfix to me.

KB972109 - The shutdown process does not finish, and you receive an error message on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008: "Stop 0x0000009F"

it sounds promising. What do you think?

Im going to download it in the meantime.
