I got a new laptop a few months ago, the specs are as follows.

Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5
    Processor Count: 2
    RAM: 2806 Mb
Graphics Card: LogMeIn Mirror Driver, 1 Mb I dont understand what this means as in device manager it says intel hd graphics
    Hard Drives: C: Total - 238372 MB, Free - 69335 MB; D: Total - 99 MB, Free - 70 MB;
    Motherboard: Acer, Aspire 5742Z
    Antivirus: ZoneAlarm Antivirus, Disabled

I use this laptop for general usage and the odd game download.

I recently had to recover around 150gb of data from an external HDD and had to save it to my laptop as I had nowhere else to put it and also installed logmein.

My laptop keeps doing one of two things, Bsod or just restarting.

Once it restarts it asks me to log in and when I put my password in the screen goes black and the only thing that loads is the mouse pointer. If I reset me laptop about 3-4 times it eventually comes on.

I am unsure of the problem and do not know what to do. My laptop has blue screened when doing 1 or a combination of the following. FTP transfers, unzipping rar files and using programs like Photoshop.

I was just FTPing a game to my xbox and using photoshop at the same time and it just died and on boot up it gave off 1 beep. It hasn't done this before but has now done it 3 times since Bsoding.

This has only happened since I filled my hdd the other day but I think there may be some underlying fault.

If anyone can help then it would be much appreciated as my laptop is my work horse and I can not afford to lose anything incase it dies. I will be doing a backup just incase but at the moment my external is going through a data loss recovery on the PC downstairs.

If you need anything then let me know and I'll be glad to provide.

    Kind regards,

    Dale.

Download BlueScreenViewer and install and run it to read the dump files created by windows.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Do you use Zone Alarm Firewall? It seems to be the main culprit in making your pc crash.

Please download MiniToolBox HERE When the box opens click save file, save it to the desktop and run it.

    Checkmark the following boxes:

    • Flush DNS
    • List Installed Programs
    • List Users, Partitions and Memory size
    • Click Go and post the result.
Hit the start button in lower left hand corner. Then in the run box type msconfig, then hit the services tab then put a check mark in hide microsoft services what is listed there, after hiding microsoft services? Please post back to us in a vertical list.

EDIT:Just a little addition: When rebooting, cold booting or bringing to life from hibernation my laptop wont load the desktop after I enter my password and I only get a mouse pointer CTRL+ALT+DEL doesnt work either and I have to reboot 2-3-4 times before the desktop loads. (Sometimes it doesn't load but I can CTRL+ALT+DEL and the open task manager. Once I open task man my desktop loads...) :/
