NEW TO FORUM. I AM RUNNING WINDOWS XP AND I JUST GOT CABLE MODEM HOOKUP LAST WEEK. PURCHASED NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2004 TO PROTECT MY COMPUTER AND INSTEAD I THINK THAT IS WHATS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. GETTING BSOD STOP:0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    SAVRT.SYS
THIS BSOD ONLY APPEARS WHEN I OPEN MUSICMATCH JUKEBOX OR CLICK ON AN MP3 FILE IN MUSIC FOLDER(WHICH OF COURSE TRYS TO OPEN MMJB.) IT ALSO HAPPENS WHEN I TRY TO BURN AN AUDIO DISC ON CDRW DRIVE. GETTING ERROR MESSAGE SAYING THERE IS NO CDRW DRIVE INSTALLED.
I DID A SYSTEM RESTORE BACK TO BEFORE I INSTALLED NORTON2004 AND EVERYTHING WORKED AGAIN. REINSTALLED NORTON AND THE SAME BSOD WAS BACK.
    WHAT IS SAVRT.SYS?
I FOUND IT IN THE NORTON ANTIVIRUS FOLDER UPON SEARCHING FOR IT.
ANY SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT I CAN DO OR WHAT IS WRONG OR WHATS CAUSING THE PROBLEM OR HOW TO FIX?
I HAD THE WELCHIA WORM BUT CLEANED IT.
I DON'T HAVE THE BLASTER WORM.
    THANKS.

    1. stop using all caps, it's like you're shouting at us.
    2. Try setting file association of MP3 files to somthing like WMP, to see if it's MusicMatch that's causing the problem.
