I have an acer aspire one d270 netbook which was an insurance replacement in Nov 2012. Had 2 previous problems resulting in BSOD and firstly they replaced the motherboard then the hard drive. Recently been getting more BSOD and below is the latest dump log.
The computer is sometimes unresponsive for a minute or 2 and on 5 occasions now while using it the screen goes blank then shows the blue screen.
I spoke to acer and they wanted me to perform a factory reset but I was wondering if there was a better solution, or more to the point is it something which is covered by the warranty.
Not sure what other info you may need.

Hello

more to the point is it something which is covered by the warranty.
Without knowing the terms of your warranty, something I DO NOT want to know, I will defer.

The BSOD points to your Intel Graphics driver.

Check with Acer for advice about updating it.

Having the 3 most recent minidumps, in .zip format would be more useful, but thanks for providing that which you have posted.

:)

Hello Rainforest thanks for your response. Not sure why you don't want to know warranty info but when I contacted them and told them I believed the issue was my graphic driver and could they help me, their help consisted on talking me through the factory reset, which I know how to do but wondered if I can avoid. All hardware related issues are covered by warranty.
I think I've zipped the logs you requested right. Any help or advice appreciated.

Because it has no bearing on the assistance I can provide.
You have already contacted the vendor. I can and DO offer kudos to you, (y)but, in the end, I'm here to try to provide tech support. No offense intended.

1 of us will analyze the dumps.

Thanks for your patience.

Thank you again and apologies for not understanding. I asked if it was covered by warranty as I know from past experience that BSOD can indicate either a hardware or software issue and I've spent enough time trying to fix this netbook in the past only for it to be major hardware issues.

Regarding the bsl.zip, it contains .txt files.

I need the mini dumps
Copy the 3 to 5 most recent minidumps [ c:\windows\minidump ] to a folder. Zip that

Thanks for your patience.

igdkmd32.sys is an intel graphics drvier file.
Check with your compuer manufacturer for exact steps.
Might be:
Download different [ usually newer, but I have personally had to go farther back for a Dell Vostro laptop when I had a BSOD ]
create system restore point
control panel > programs & features > uninstall Intel graphics driver
Reboot, to safe mode
Install new driver [ may not work ]
boot to normal mode
test system
