BSOD upon DVD boot

    i just recently purchased windows vista ultimate DVD, i upgraded my RAM, hard drive, and cd drive (to DVD drive), after i load the vista DVD, i get a BSOD that states my computer isn't acpi compliant, what do i need to do from here, so i can install and use Vista?

    Other than looking for a BIOS update if available I don't think there is much you can do for this except get a more recent motherboard.
