Hey. I just started looking into DVD burners. I was wondering though, would I have to buy specific blank discs for a DVD movie? Or, could I just use the same ones I use for my CD's? I'm looking at an external one for about $899. Should I buy it now, or do you think the price will drop anytime soon? Thanks all!

Dvd burners use dvd blanks, a lot more expensive than cdr's.

As far as price, the price always goes down the longer the product is on the market.

cdrw's use to be fairly expensive but now are quite reasonable
