burner stopped working

    i hope someone can help me.....all at once i am unable to burn audio cd's with my burner.if i use nero,it just stops and wont burn.......if i use record now,it freezes the computer and i cant open the drawer.everything worked fine until recently,and i cant remember doing anything to cause it.here is my hjt log.....i hope some clever person can help me fix it.

    Can it read CD's and is this a combo drive or just a CD-Rom drive?

    its a combo drive....it can only burn cd's though and play dvd's

    What happens if you try and burn something else and also what happens if you use Windows to try and burn to CD.

    i havnt tried to burn anything else so far......how do i use windows to burn to cd?

    Put a blank writable CD in right click on a file you want to copy to CD and choose Send to.... and choose your CD drive

    Then go start>>My Computer and double click that Drive and on the left choose Write these files to CD.

    i dont have the drive on the right click -send to menu

    GO Start>>Run type services.msc click OK

    In the new window look down the list for IMPAPI CD-Burning

    Double click on it and check that it says Startup Type is Automatic

    Then click on Start button.

    Then try burning again.

    i changed it to automatic,then rebooted...but still not showing on right click menu.....only record now which was installed with the computer
