burning a cd over 80 min.

Can someone tell me if its possible to burn a cd over 80 min.,if so by how much. I need about 30 sec. TKS

You may be ok with such a small margin - but post what model burner you're using .....

I routinely overburn 80 minute CD's by up to two minutes with no issues. I think 30 seconds shouldn't be an issue. Note that this is sometimes dependent on the specific media you're using.

It would appear you're ok to exceed the limit by 30 seconds - but I recommend you read up on the links posted above on the subject of overburning as some burners can do it safely while others can be damaged if you push them too far.

I use Nero 5.5.10.42, and it'll let you specify whatever you like for overburn.

overburn should be fine in nero, and if you need it a bit bigger, get a 99 minutes disk :)
