I'm new to the whole CD burning thing. I understand you need a CD-R for audio CDs (to be played on a CD player later.) What about for MPEGs, AVIs, and Quicktime files? Should I use a CD-R or a CD-RD? Will it make any difference?

If you're going to be using the CD in a regular computer, CD-RW's will work, but CD-R's are so cheap these days, you could just stick to them...some older cd players won't play CD-RW's but some newer ones will.
