I am having a problem coping a disc from my cd rom drive to my burner. I know that my cd rom works okay and I can burn songs off of my computer okay its just when I try to copy a regular disc that it comes up with a write error. I have copied this disc before with another computer so I know there's nothing wrong with the disc. I am using windows xp pro and I've tried using nero express and roxio and they both come up with a write error. Can somebody please help?

Is the disk you're trying to make a copy of a game disk or other commercial software? You may have a problem if it's copy protected. Some CD-ROM drives don't recognize the copy protection, and then the disks can be copied. Most newer drives, however, recognize copy protection and prevent the disk from being copied. That would explain why it worked on one computer and not on the other.
