I'm trying to burn DVDs using Nero 7.10.1.0 to a Vertex DVD-R 16x without success. My DVD writer worked on other DVDs (+ or -) before this. I've updated the firmware for my DVD writer _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A to version 103D. But the problem still exist.

The error log is as follows. Thanks!

OK, that is an ide type drive so I would check to see that it is running dma and has not reverted to pio mode. You check this in device mgr>atapi controller.

Next does this happen with all types of media ie different brands?
