    Hi,

I have a lite-on Cd writer and it came with the Nero software. My friend uses adaptec's software which looks easier to operate in my opinion. Can I uninstall Nero and get a copy of Adaptec's software ad install that as my burning software?

    Thanks

Sure, you can also use them at the same time, as long as you disable the autodetect on the drive. I don't recommend using the directCD utility portion of the EZCD software, and would not recommend installing that part. DirectCD is packet writing software and packet writing has some drawbacks that make it un-appropiate for use as long term backup. I also wouldn't recommend useing CDRW disk. CDR disk are cheap enough that you don't have to reuse CD's.

There's no need to uninstall nero if you don't install directCD.
