    Hi guys and girls,

I need help. My brother's begging for XNA Creators Club Online. Hardware requirements are a graphics card that supports DirectX 9.0c and Shader Model 1.1. I need a new graphics card as my graphics cards sucks (GeForce4 MX 4000) and so does my graphics card knowledge. But I wanna change that. I have a few questions I hope someone could help answer, thanks:

    1. My motherboard can plug both PCI or AGP. Could someone tell me which is superior?

    2. Could anyone recommend some low end graphics card that would meet the above requirements please? My budget range is ₤20 to ₤50. MY pc spec: 1.8GHz process, with 750 RAM.

Any gems shared would be appreciated! Thanks alot techies.

It might be quite difficult to find an AGP card from a retailer now, your best bet may be somewhere like ebay!.

AGP is newer than PCI and better, however it is quite dated as current technology goes. You may also find you end up paying the same for a low end AGP card as you wuold a low-mid range PCI-e, but that isn't much help if you can only use AGP.

Here are a few links for you to have a look at:

    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/Components/Graphics-Nvidia/NvidiaAGPSeries/
These have DirectX9 and Shader Model 3.0 support
Novatechs only ATI AGP card is £89

    DirectX9 + Shader Model 3.0 support

What make and model PC is it that you are looking at upgarding?

While there may not be the best selection, I find it hard to beloieve an Agp card is that hard to find and your preference should be Agp as the graphics are much better and the slots are designed for graphics cards only.

Well, not massively hard to find, I found some fairly quickly, Just that the selection available is a lot smaller than PCI-e :)
