    Hello,

I have an old computer from work that the company had given me.

The problem is I can't seem to bypass the network password...when I input the password I had at work it is telling me the password or username is invalid.

I can't seem to get by it...I cllick OK or Cancel and it still tells me that password is invalid.

There is no way I can get into the Control Panel to change the network settings because the Network password box pops up before anything else.

It is running on Windows 95.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

If you are using this PC at home and the network connection is no longer needed, you could remove the Network Client software. This should eliminate the login altogether.

That's a good suggestion, LeslieGibb, but how's jk11 supposed to do that without being able to get to the desktop?

My suggestion is to reload Windows 95 on the computer. There's probably a bunch of network and policy settings that will continue to give you grief. Also, unless you received CDs and licenses for all the software on the computer (including the operating system), you can't use any of it.

Depending on the model of PC, he can F8 during the boot up process and bring the machine up in Safe Mode w/Network Support. This will allow him to access Network Properties and/or Appwiz.
