Im having a problem with generals It worked fine in win98 but ive changed to xp now .
every time I try to start hte game I get the the generals logo and a box in my task bar as if the game is loading but nothing happens.
Ive tryed the tech support and followed there instructions to the letter and it did nt make any difference also Ive try my friends copy of general. It does work in his machine with xp and wont work in mine.
The computer has had all the drivers upgraded latest dx and should be able to play the game no problem.

    Try patching the game itself.

Also, try WinXP's compatability mode set to Win98

Check your pc specs, compare them to you're buddies.

    Also, update your video,sound, drivers.

    Hi again
My Friends computer is about a year older than mine and I have the latest drivers for my computer available.
My friend has the exact same problem as me but with emperor - battle for dune. He has never done any thing about it.
Generals worked fine on my older computer running windows 98.

    Please keep the ides coming
