I've never heard of anything like this at all. On my WinXP Pro installation, when I click on MyComputer > C:-drive, I get a listing of my browser's bookmarks toolbar instead of a listing of the sub-directories on my C:-drive.

I've only recently installed this WinXP OS, but I used an installation disk that I've used several times before, after re-building my machine. Other drives on the machine list correctly, and I can get an accurate listing of the C:-drive when I use the command-line.

Any ideas what I should look for to troubleshoot this strange behavior?

I looked, and did not find one. Did a search of the complete C: drive and found none.
