    Hello,michel

Not sure if these will help you
but have a look for your self

    From: TonyKlein:
What I always advise, in the case of new net, is unchecking the New.Net startup item in Msconfig > Startup, then click OK, and reboot.

Next, go to Control Panel/Software add-remove, find NewDotNet, and click 'remove'.

You can also run this dedicated uninstaller: <http://www.new.net/support/uninstall3_88.exe>.
Once copied to the machine, just double click it.

That usually is the end of NewNet without risking the loss of your internet connectivity.

In the end, you may still have a, by itself harmless, New.Net ActiveX object left in Downloaded Program Files:

Go to IE > Tools > Internet Options > General Tab

Under the General tab, click on the Settings button.
Within the Settings window, click on the View Objects button.
Within the Downloaded Program Files window, locate and delete Tldctl2c Class.

    Good luck

I take it you cannot connect to the Internet on this machine. Here's a download to try and help you out.
EDIT: The other link was dead. tis one works:

    http://digital-solutions.co.uk/lavasoft/whndnfix.zip

It's the winsock fix written by the Lava Soft People.
Copy it to floppy and take it to the sick machine. Run it. See if that gets you back on the Internet.

The Winsock fix Mo proposed was written especially for problems caused by botched NewdotNet and Webhancer removals, and it should restore your internet connection.

After fixing that, go to Start > Run, type Msconfig, and remove the check mark at NewDotNet.

    Click OK and reboot.

That should get rid of your error message at boot.
