Two problems.

1.) When I start my computer these days, a window pops up titled C:\Program Files\NVIDIA.
It contains a file folder icon and an Nvidia file.

2.) In my control panels, I also have Nvidia Nview Desktop Manager, but when I click on it I receive an error loading message, and 'the specified module could not be found'.

I was looking at the Nvidia Control panel a couple of months ago, trying to figure out this and that, and I ran 'Tune System' and some other options. (By the way, there was a big improvement in the games I play.) I must have accidentally done something else to create the pop up window, and error messages, but I don't know what.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

(I did do a search on this topic, but while I saw other Nvidia problems I didn't see anything about these problems.)

Thank you.

Try uninstalling your NVIDIA software and reinstalling it.

Vera:

The current driver version for the NVIDIA GeForce 6200 for Windows XP is 285.58 and was released about 2 weeks ago.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-285.58-whql-driver.html

Download and save it, then close all open windows first, then install it.

It should overwrite and replace the old version you have.

-------------------------------------------------------

None of the NVIDIA-related startup entries need to remain checked.

Start - Run - MSCONFIG - OK - "Startup" tab

None of the NVIDIA-related service entries need to be on Automatic. They can be set on Manual.

Start - Run - SERVICES.MSC - OK
