My internet is not displaying anything except "this page cannot be displayed" and at the bottom it shows that it is going to the following: C/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/shdoclc.dll/dnserror.html . I know this question was asked before and you requested a log from Hijackthis. I was hoping that you could tell me what to delete from this log. Thanks!

Hi, There is a chance that you can cure this, however we see lots of failures with it> here is a thread about it>

    see posting#2 by Steve here:

    http://forums.techguy.org/t345137.html

A link there goes to here:

    http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showtopic=3466

Where Calamity Jane, an expert, explains about what you can try (Kaspersky trial version) and how to get it and set it up...those directions are crucial to your success. Note that you MUST:

Set Norton (or any other antvirus program) to not start up when the computer does> the setting to do that is in Norton Antivirus, in Preferences or Options> look for Bootup or Startup Options, and something along the lines of "Do not start Norton Antivirus when Windows/ computer starts up" so the the background scanner is not running when you try to install Kaspersky, or it will prompt you to uninstall Norton.

You MUST run Kaspersky in Safe Mode as it says, and you have to use the extended database.
There are directions for manual updating the program, where you cannot get online to get them in the steps.

If you cannot even download the program> have someone burn it to a CD for you, as an ISO data burn (they should know what that is all about) and install it that way, the updates can be manually added to the CD as it says.

you will see the section I am sure...

I realize that right now you cannot connect....

Try doing this for the connection problem:

    Download the Hoster from here:
    http://www.funkytoad.com/download/hoster.zip
Press 'Restore Original Hosts' and press 'OK'
    Exit Program.

Then try the Internet, and get the download for Kaspersky, follow the guide to install and update it etc....and run the scan in Safe Mode....

Post a new HJT log when you have done it.

Hi, The log is looking a lot better, but some of it is still there as you know.

The file names change when you try to delete them, but there are some tools we can have you get to try and remove the junk.

I will ask for a look by someone who has a lot of experience with this malware. Be prepared to get some downloads however you are managing getting them.
