I want to install a second and larger hard drive, and if you read the instructions it is fairly easy right.? But both connectors on my cable are black not one black and one grey. Will this cause any problems?

You may have a 40 conductor cable, which are not color coded. Depending on the age of your system, you may be able to boost the performance significantly by picking up an 80 conductor cable. FWIW, most retail drive boxes come with one.

I'll move this to hardware, since it's not really on-topic in the DIY conference. :)
