I'm thinking of buying a new cell phone and I want to know whats a good spec for a camera on a cell?
Would VGA be the best at this current time or is there better?

I don't know what the prices are like where you are, but if you are looking for a good quality pxt phone, then Sony have one.
It is actually a camera (its primary function) that has a phone, so you know the quality of the pictures are pretty good.

To get a Camera phone with extremely good quality, be willing to pay a good amount of $$. What price range do you want to stay in and what service provider?

A "high quality" camera phone would be another that is 1 megapixel or higher. Even though 1MP is the most common resolution for "high-resolution" phones, 2MP phones are starting to becoming more readily available with a price range of about $400 US Dollars (330 Euro)

I bought a Nokia (1.3 MP) phone for my wife last year. The picture quality is fairly good and the phone has lots of great features but like most camerca phones, the video is terrible.

There is a post in another forum regarding that question.
Go here for a review.

You possibly could have googled that question. ;)

I have VGA and my wife has a 1.3 megapixel and the difference in quality is very obvious when opening the pics on the PC. The megapixel phone has a much higher quality and well worth the extra money spent.

The reality is any camers phone will not take the best quality pictures. I have a 1.3MP camera phone and the quality in my opinion is horrible.
