Hi all,

I just bought a Syncmaster 913v Samsung LCD monitor and happly connected it to my desktop through a nVidia Geforce4 mx 440.
I updated the monitor and the graphics card drivers but I can't get past the 16bit color level.
Even worst: when i go to display properties->settings->colors the only options are:
256
16bit
32bit

This machine is a pentium 4 2.0 GHz with 512 MB RAM
Running windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP4
Video Card GeForce4 MX 440

I would like to set my display to 24-bit color depth. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

JL.

Hi Bobol,

Thanks for the shortcourse. My problem is that the SyncMaster 913v doesn't do more then 24-bit (16 million) colours. So in order for me to have something that resembles a "modern" display in windows 2k I have to select the absent 24 bit option ...
