You were tracing a route from a location in India to one in the USA. A lot of the hops do not return pings or else took too long to respond. After 30 hops the destination had not yet been reached. (For what it's worth, my tracert to the same destination beginning here in the USA took 29 hops and featured a lot of hops with no response.)

I'm surprised that in India the IP for amazon.com is in the USA (don't know that it is incorrect; just surprised). Does amazon.in give the same IP address?

Well, certainly not line by line.

A message over the internet (say, from your computer to a server at amazon.in) does not go directly. It goes from one server ("hop" in tracert speak) to another to another ... until it gets to the destination. The tracert output displays that route by identifying each server (hop) in turn, essentially by pinging each. Some servers do not reply to pings and sometimes the response takes too long. Otherwise it gives you the time for the ping and reply messages, the IP address, and sometimes extra info (e.g., "... london.as6453.net"). Note that the first hop in your outputs is your router (192.168.0.2) and the second one is your public gateway (your ISP's server that you first get to).

trace route is part of the ICMP protocol. Many network admins turn off responding to ICMP requests because it can be a security issue. Many hackers do network discovery by sending ICMP requests (of which ping is one of them) to see what responds. This why one of the suggested configurations to do on your home router is to turn off replying to ping requests on the WAN port.

    Amazon.com is the US site.

    Amazon.in is the India site.
