Can browse on LAN but cant access shared folders

    I am having a problem with my LAN at office, Every PC can browse the internet ADSL thru the router but cannot access shared folders on the internet, the Workgroup name is same on all the IP is given automatically.

    please help me out

    yup, the shared are on LAN

    Whats the error given? Have you enabled Simple File Sharing?

    In addition to bD's post, disable any 3rd party software firewalls as they can block computers looking for shared folders.

    i, too, am experiencing the same symptoms on my network at the office. the computers connected can see each other, yet cannot access the shared folders. they can share the internet connection fine however. all the machines are running xp pro, except for one laptop, which is running me. can anyone help me as well as ferhanz?
