Can Delphi or VB projects run on other OS

    Can Delphi or VB programming projects run on other Operating systems, besides Windows ?

    99% sure they cannot

    If you need crossplatform development, Java would be your premier choice

    When you want to compile for Linux there are 2 options:

    * The new version of Delphi for Linux, called Kylix
    * There is another compiler for Linux if my memory serves me well. I just don't remember the name :-(

    You can also create DOS executables with some minor adjustments to the Delphi environment.


    VB programs cannot be ported to other platforms AFAIK.
