I was wondering if it was possible to exactly backup a hard drive, and then use the backup in place of the original. I have a tiny hard drive as my boot drive now, and I now want to copy everything over to my new 250gb drive and run from that. Is this possible and how would I go about it?

    Thanks for any help.

It should be, what OS are you using? If Xp you will need at least SP1 or better yet SP2 for the new larger drive to be properly recognized. Then use a program such as Nortons Ghost or Acronis True Image to create a backup.

Most hard drive manufacturers have utilities free with the drive or for download that will clone your old drive to the new drive.
