I have a powerpoint file I'd like to upload and have accessible from my blog. I tried to upload it as a photo file, but it failed. Is there another way to upload a file?
    thanks!

The file size and/or format might be the problem
There are several (free) apps that will convert .ppt or .pps files to html

    Alternative format: HTML
    See http://www.sharewareconnection.com/software.php?list=Powerpoint+Html+Save

    Reduced Size:

note: up to 96%... it could be a lot less... :(

The blog service providers mostly don't allow uploading ppt file to
their space. You should find a free web space and upload your file to
    the space.
You can use FREE file upload service listed here to upload your
    presentation to web.
    http://www.mediawart.com/
    http://www.filepimp.com/
    http://www.websamba.com/
    http://www.250free.com/

You may also convert the PowerPoint presentation to Flash to enable
    visitors view your presentation online.

For the best presentation effect, I suggest you upload both the
resulting flash and the ppt file to a free webspace, then embed the
flash to your blog with the ppt file link. By this way, the visitors
of your blog not only can view your presentation flash drectly online
but also download the original ppt file to view it on their own
    computers.

You also may try to convert your ppt to video with Presentation to video converter by geovid.com and then upload it into some web storage as a Youtube.com
