Can I safely delete JVC and Sid files?

    I have scads of these on my desktop........taking up tens of gigs of space. Can they be deleted?

    Those seem to be JVC video and Sid photo files, if so and you're sure you don't need them anymore you can delete them.

    Sorry, I don't really understand what these files are.....if I delete them all, I'm not eliminating actual data/images?

    How did they get onto the PC ? Is it new or second hand ?

    Do the JVC and Sid files appear as such as a an extension?
    Example:
    (filename).JVC
    (filename).SID

    SID files can be an auto saved file for online gaming, such as Steam.
    Sometimes a file saved by an Imaging/Editing program.

    Allan's question is valid if you're not gaming, or don't use an imaging editor.
