can not acess windows , restart all the time

    hi ! today I had a big problem with my computer
    it restarted all the time. can not go to the welcome screen of windows
    I pressed F8 .., chose all the option ( safe mode, last good... ,reboot ..) but it didn't work
    what happened with my computer and why ?
    what I should do now?
    will I lose all my data ?

    So it just keeps rebooting. Going to the screen to choose an option and counts down and then reboots?

    If you have a XP cd you can try to get it to boot. Go to the R for repair.
    It will come up to a DOS screen. And at that screen try a repair. type in chkdsk /p
    Let that run. After it is done reboot and hopefully that goes into Windows.

    If that doesnt work. Your data should be safe. You can always install this Harddrive on another computer to get the DATA off and you can then do a format and put the OS back onto the computer. But that is after everything else is tried.

    thanks for your tips.
    my friend helped me solve this yesterday, based on your sussgestion
    he used WinPE to save my data form drive C to D and then reinstall Win
    but after that I can not use standby and hibernate
    he don't know why, too
    could you help me ?
