So I had a very bad virus and I re-installed XP and updated it. (Took forever) Now when I try to install some programs, the programs load and then abruptly stop. I managed to install sony vegas but when I try to install pinnacle studio and Arcsoft total media extreme both those programs just stop during install. I have the drivers of those programs and I had those programs before I re-installed. Am I missing something on XP, I have windows installer 4.5. I dont know what I need but I am pretty sure its a prob with XP. Thanks

What error message are you receiving (if any)?

Do you still have your Windows XP CD? If so, try performing a Repair Install.

None at all. The programs just start and then abruptly stop, I tried it in safe mode and same things happen. Maybe .Net Framework?
