Hi, I have been trying for months to figure out why I can not get my critical updates to install on my pc, I ran a scan and found out adware is lurking. I used hijack this and need some help with removing all these invaders. Please help!

Have you tinkered with the services.msc ? If so, make sure Cryptographic services are put to manual. The Windows Update site needs it to update your computer, regardless of if you do it through the site or by automatic updates. If you're doing it through Automatic Updates, make sure that is on manual in the services too.

Thanks!!!!! It worked, how would the services be changed if I didn't do it? Would something from the web have changed my settings?
