I have a new (bought June 2007) Windows Vista Laptop that came with the Omnipass fingerprint/password authentication software in which one can use it to encrypt files. Currently my computer is set up to automatically sign on to omnipass when I enter my password to logon to windows. Just wondering, but is there a way to make the fingerprint swipe an optional but not required way to sign on to my windows account (so i don't have to enter a separate password) or must it be either required or not do-able?
There's something on Omnipass that allows you to make the omnipass password and/or fingerprint to be absolutely required to log on to windows but there's nothing i could find that would allow one to have the option of either using the fingerprint to sign on or doing the usual windows password logon.
Thanks so much for any light you may shed on my question.

I'm sure you can disable the feature, but I don't know if you can "optionally" use it.
