I am running a machine with windows XP sp 2, 4 gigs of ram, MS 7336 ver. 1 bios 1.08 Motherboard, and the radeon HD 5850 with the 10.10 catalyst. I was having trouble with my audigy 2 sound card so it was removed to be checked on another machine. In the mean time I have been using the onboard sound from my motherboard. The drivers for the audigy are still on my computer. I have been getting blue screens with the “drive irql not less or equal” messages and when I play games such as witcher and HOI 3 both crash to the desktop. Is it possible that the motherboard sound “card” is causing these crashes because there is a conflict between it and the video card or is it because I have a blank slot where my audigy used to be but the drivers are still installed? Any help appreciated
