Hey I have some problems with my Sony Vaio AW21S but ive got a thread about those,

I am trying to restore my laptop to a previous date in time again and it finally came up, got loads of restore points all from the same day but they are very recent so thats good but when I choose one and click next it shows a list of drives to tick which ones I want to restore with the data untouched but it only shows the C drive and since I also have a lot of info in desktop and my computer,my documents,my pictures,my music etc I was wondering if anybody knew how I can get it to show up the other drives etc .

    Thanks in advance :(:)

    Hi,
Could you clarify please ... What other drive letters are you looking for? If your computer, your docs, pics etc aren't on your 'C' drive which drive letter have you put them on?

    Thanks

    Restoring from 'C' sounds right.

Bugger, I tried it and went through the proccess and then after "finalizing" it came up with the error "system restore did not complete succesfully. your computers system file settings were not change.
details:an unspecified error occured during system restore.

You might want to try system restore again and choose a different restore point.
for more information see system restore frequently asked questions.

I tried the other restore points (all from different times on the same day and the same thing happened.

heres a photo of the error. I didnt take it but i found the same one on google images.

If it's any consolation, System Restore does not restore files that are considered to be user documents. Only system files and application files are restored.

Please consider putting some kind of backup strategy in place (in other words, in future keep two copies of everything on two physically separate hard drives).
