Hi... I got an email from someone, whose return address was listed as BigDaveIseeya, or something to that effect. It was an email with a zip file attached that I didn't open. The name of the file was PRICE.

Now... I don't have any firewall or anything. I have dial-up. But here are my questions. If someone somehow had my IP address, which I understand is very easy to get could they actually go into my Outlook Express and browse around all of my folders easily? Reading all of my emails... stuff like that?

I will delete this email because there's no way I'm opening up that zip but I was just wondering what somebody CAN/CANNOT do by having your IP address.

    Thanks in advance

no no-one can get into OE by having your IP number

It was almost certainly one of the new round of bagle worms and I have had them come to me supposedly from me as well as from false addresses

There are several viruses that will allow someone to get in and snoop around not just an outlook inbox, but the entire contents of your hard drive. If you do not already have an antivirus, I would reccomend you to download either AVG free edition http://www.grisoft.com or Avast home edition http://www.avast.com, two highly effective anti viruses. also get the mircrsoft anti-spyware from www.microsoft.com. you being on a dial up, these could take a long time to download.
