Thanks! (There's probably an updated version, but I'm having lots of problems and I'm already late for ALL my plans for the day, so I figured I'd at least try to HJT that I have on my laptop already.)

I've got some wierd stuff going on. Yesterday when I tried to open My Documents it kept "not responding" and never opened. TUrns out ALL the folders on my entire laptop were having the same problem- desktop folders, external hard drive- nothing would open. I did a system restore to a few days back and that seems to fix that problem, but things are still running slower than normal.

Also having problems with iTunes refusing to open- I keep getting the iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to shut down errors. THought there might be somehting interfering with it.

Ok, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes?
You can fix these in HijackThis to help with speed:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RealTray] C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe SYSTEMBOOTHIDEPLAYER
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

I've tried uninstalling, repairing, even going all the way back to the original version that came with the iPod. If I use an older version it says there's an error with Quicktime- even after I downloaded quicktime. The newer version keeps giving me the error. I am so upset right now? Why is is so hard for companies to fully check their software before releasing it to the public??? 90% of my computer problems come from Windows updates and the updates for iTunes and iPod. And almost every other person in the world have the same problems!
