I have been having some problems as of late with my internet connection... various sites not being found, timeouts, cannot find server etc....

I call me EARTHLINK TECH support... and they suggested I make some cahnges in my dial-up networking, etc... and suggested I do a HIJACK-THIS scan.

I did the scan... and here are the results. I was wondering if anyone would look at the results and maybe make some reccomendations.....

    Thank you.

    DAVID

Yes... it is not related to my browser... or at least as far as I can tell.

Here are a few "symptoms" that I am experiencing:

*** I will go to try and check my email, using OE and my mail.earthlink.net account and it will say FINDING HOST.... for an extended period of time..... eventually timing out...

Then... I might try it 2 minutes later... no problem. Now... i don't beleieve this problem is due to any kind of server congestion or anything because it can happen ANYTIME... even at 2, 3 or even 4am. And it corrects itself (or seems to) so quickly.

*** Other times... I will click on a link, and it will say LOOKING UP HOST or FINDING HOST..... and then time out, only to work fine a few minutes later.

I have only had these problems for the last week... and have not added anything new during this period.

I have used all of the utilities for spyware, such as AD-AWARE, SYPBOT, SPYWARE BLASTER etc....

Thats why I would appreciate someone looking at my HIJACK -THIS scan result.

    Thanks again

    DAVID

Thanks for the suggestions PUTA. I was just wondering.... are the things that are usually reccomended for removal actual RUNNING PROGRAMS that either can affect things like resources, web-surfing and overall system performance?

    Thanks again :)
