    You should go to Symantec's site and follow the specific instructions there for removal of NIS. Usually, it's via the Control Panel but in some cases there are uninstaller tools.

    Rescan with HijackThis, close all browser windows except HijackThis, put a check mark beside these entries and click “fix checked.”

    When you do any other online scans those activeX controls will ask to be redownloaded before scanning.
