It's definitey running smoother, however I still get this gray pop up when I boot up my system.

Aupdate has caused an error in AUPDATE.EXE. Aupdate will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.

Do you know why I might still be getting that? Also, I have a few questions about the anti-virus scans. I still have all the trojans quarantined in AVG and AVAST! I still have a worm quarantined in my Norton from 2 yrs ago. I know this sounds stupid but am I supposed to delete them or do they just sit there? Are they important files that if I do delete them it will mess up my system entirely? Also on the temp folder you had me delete am I supposed to dump it out of my recycle bin? I have a folder in that temp folder that is titled Drivers and it has something to do with my cable modem didn't know if that would mess anything up if you tell me to delete them entirely from my recycle bin. And one final question, I noticed EZULA alot when I run my Ad-Aware SE but now I don't since you've helped me but I saw on a website to go check to see if I have it on my computer and I still do and it gives me a link and tells me how to delete it permantely from my system via DOS(I posted another posting the same day I did this one and someone told me how to use DOS to do it) If I do it via DOS will it also delete it when I do another search for it in my system. I'm not getting it anymore when I run Ad-Aware SE just don't know if it is a good idea to keep it in my system. Do you have any idea? Here is the link I was told to go to to delete it. http://www.whirlywiryweb.com/removeezula.htm There are two of them, I have ezstub on my computer. Sorry for all the questions, I seems like we are almost done and I just have those few loose ends to tie up. You have no idea how much I appreciate all you help with this, I was so frustrated when I posted this original posting.

    Delete ezstub.exe

If you have ezula on your machine it will be in c:\program files\ezula you can delete that folder if it exists.

You can delete the old virus files you have in quarantine.

The items you had in temp related to your calbe modem are most likely from the installation. If you want to keep those you should put them somewhere other than temp, like My Documents.

Search for AUPDATE.EXE and delete that as well.

Sorry for the delay in the response I haven't been on my computer in a couple of days. Thank you for all your help! Things are running smooth. On quick question for you and I promise I will leave you alone. This is no big deal, it's just bugging me. When I run ad-aware it's pretty clean except for one thing called DyFuCA also known as a Internet Optimizer, I know it's not a big deal it's rated low (a 3 out of 10) however it's just bugging me. I read on some websites that say go to Add/Remove and remove 'Active Alert' or 'Internet Optimizer' but I don't have either one of those. Is there any other way to remove it besides going to DOS. If not you don't need to go into detail if you know how to in DOS I found a website with step by step instructions, just wondering if I can do it a simplier way, I'm terrified of DOS :)

Thank you for all your time, help and patience with me!

Please post another log and also tell what identifies or where you find Internet Optimizer.

It's called DyFuCA and it's usually the only thing in my Ad-Aware SE when I run it. I looked it up on the internet and found out is also called Internet Optimizer. My computer is running great so it's really no big deal, it's just bugging me. Here is my HJT log you requested:

OK this is what it says

    Removal
Open the 'Downloaded Program Files' folder (which can be found in the Windows folder), and delete the entry for 'NSUpdateLiteCtrl Class' (NSUpdate variant), 'NSLiteUpdateCtrl Class' (NSLitevariant), 'MoneyTree Dialer' (UniDist variant), 'MultiDist' (MultiDist variant), or 'Software Update Manager' (DyFuCA variant).

However, I have nothing like that in my Downloaded Program Files folder to remove.
