A friend of mine called me asking for help with her computer. She has been having problems with it for about a month. She went to the Microsoft help page and did what she was told would fix her computer. She is still having problems. When she opens a page to get on the internet her home page was changed to here4search.com\enter.htm?id=9 She has tried to change it using the tools drop down menu then going to internet options and changing the home page. This did not work. She also deleted cookies, deleted files, and cleared her history. She currently is using Norton Internet Security 2005 and Norton Anti Virus 2005. She has done a full system scan. The scan showed that 42 files could be harmful to her computer. These files included Addwear, Supper Spider, and Trojan.Startpage. She has also noticed that her favorites had been changed to different links of a sexual nature. After doing the scan she was told that most of the files were deleted. With the exception of seven files that were to be put in quarantine. But the files were not put into the quarantine area. She is also not allowed to use links on her computer. When trying to send her help by e-mail she had to retype all of the sites. My friend is constantly relieving messages from the Norton Software saying that others are trying to access cookies in her computer. I gave her the address to the tech guy forum and she could not access it using her computer. On the latest scan she found one file that was at risk, two files that needed to be manually deleted, and six files that deleting failed. These files included action addwear, dialer, supper spider, istdar dialer. WSV2 If there is anyway that you can help it would be much appreciated.
