I have to do a reinstall of XP and all my disks are in storage in what box no one knows! My neighbor is going to do some sort of "mirror" install by segmenting the hard drive. Is there anyway I can back up programs like Quicken that are installed now without having the disk from storage to just totally reinstall it?

Not really. Programs need to be installed in the operating system where they will be used.

But, a program like PCMover that is designed to move programs from an old to new computer may be able to do it for you.
