Just disposed of a laptop with 2013 Outlook. Never used Outlook on the machine but it was linked to an email account set up with my ISP for some (not sensitive) items.

Being a total plank, I forgot to do anything with Outlook on the laptop. I’ve now changed the password to the email account with my ISP, deleted the emails and have now closed that account as it’s not needed anyway. Will this remove Outlook access from the laptop to the account and to the older emails?

That will stop access from the laptop, but not access to whatever email is still stored on the laptop.

If it's set as POP, then no, but if it was exchange/IMAP it should disappear if someone was able to access it on the same user profile.
