I'm trying to connect to Battle.net via Starcraft 2 Beta and I've tried the following

Blizzard tech support had me run a tracer and we determined the at&t server is timing out and not connecting to battle.net

See below:

Tracing route to us.logon.battle.net [12.129.206.130]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms dsldevice [192.168.1.254]
2 6 ms 6 ms 9 ms adsl-99-40-215-254.dsl.chcgil.sbcglobal.net [99.40.215.254]
3 6 ms 6 ms * dist1-vlan60.chcgil.sbcglobal.net [99.164.169.2]
4 6 ms 6 ms 6 ms bb1-g7-0.chcgil.ameritech.net [151.164.242.208]
5 53 ms 53 ms 53 ms gar5.la2ca.ip.att.net [12.122.129.25]
6 54 ms * 54 ms 12.122.255.74
7 53 ms 54 ms 53 ms mdf001c7613r0003-gig-10-1.lax1.attens.net [12.129.193.242]
8 * * * Request timed out.
9 * * * Request timed out.
10 * * * Request timed out.
11 * * * Request timed out.
12 * * * Request timed out.

AT&T tech support tried to have me Force the DNS but that didn't work either.

Any suggestions to how I can connect to battle.net? Thank you.

try power cycle the modem/router and do ipconfig/flushdns in the command prompt to clear out old dns cache.. see if it helps...
do you only have problem with b.net?

I've power cycled multiple times both my moden and my computer.

I called AT&T tech support who said that it was hitting Blizzard's servers so the problem was out of their hands.

Blizzard responded saying the two *'s in lines 3 and 6 are the cause of the problem and means my connection is losing packets/timing out before reaching their server and that I'd have to contact the ISP again. They also claim the server on line 7 is not their server, but AT&T says it's not their server either.

I'm getting major run around. I'll try flushing the DNS, but what should I do if that doesn't work? What rights do I have as a customer to get AT&T to fix this for me? Should I consider a new ISP or would I still have the same problem?

And yes, I ONLY have the problem connecting to bnet, everything connection wise works fine.

AT&T was less than helpful on the second call. This was the tier 2 department again, but this woman said they didn't support game applications. I told her it was a problem with the trace and had her run the trace herself to 'us.logon.battle.net'. She did it said her connection was timing out as well at the same point I was. She said it doesn't matter because us.logon.battle.net wasn't a valid website. I asked "how do you know? Our trace times out before we get to it" and she just kept saying she couldn't help me.

I'm completely lost, I might have to change isp's but what if I do and it's the same thing? There has to be something I can do...
