cannot connect to the secured wireless networks

    I have a problem in my laptop i.e i cannot connect to a secured wireless network , whereas i can connect to my mobile wireless hotspot but can't connect to my hostel's which is way better than my mobile . so can anyone help please on how to connect it to my hostel wifi .

    my laptop has been recently formatted so its not an malware issue . . . i have been suffering from last one week . . . please help me . .. .

    it says the wireless network is out of range when next to my router and my hostel mates can easily access the connection

    Try updating your wireless driver.Go to your manufacturers website and grab the latest if you are unsure which driver to install please see below.

    Also please Download UnknownDeviceIdentifierand post the log it Creates in your next reply.
    Run the program allow it to finish then hit file> save > Save the file to desktop.The default file name will be DeviceList Attach Device list in your next reply.

    If it is an integrated wireless adapter get the latest driver from the laptop manufacturer's web site. (That may be what Ihatecats meant.)

    That is what i meant since it is a laptop I assumed that the wireless is integrated. :)
