Purchased a ASUS laptop (K52 series) w/Windows 7 for my mother-in-law, for Xmas. Got it set up, but I can't figure out how to create a the "recovery discs". I've done this quite a few times on other computers - ususally takes about 2 DVD's. Usually the recovery feature is either in "system tools" or "programs". Checked control panel also.

Look for a program called AI Recovery Burner The manual says it is on the desktop.

For an acer you have to dig for it a little under the acer software.
