Hi,
NOT normal Disk Fragmentation (these are ok) but Data Fragmentation
Computer is running fine but I'm having an issue in that while I am able to defrag normal Disk FILE fragmentation I cannot defrag DATA Fragmented Files.
I use a site PCPitstop.com to run diagnostics on my computer and while the results are usually excellent, there is one thing that gives me a Yellow Flag and that is Data Fragmentation (see the Screenshots below):
Here I am told that I have 11% in Data Files that need Fragmentation
Followed by this "Tip" that I should defrag these files
I have used the normal Windows OS (Computer Management>Disk Defragmenter Tool) and also Auslogics Disk Defrag 2.1.2 and either one defrags the File Fragments ok, but neither one can defrag the Data Fragments and I always see a range of 11-15% in Data Files that need Fragmentation after running the PCPitstop Diagnostics.
NOTE: I have closed and then reopened my System Restore to remove all Restore Points and then new Restore Point/files are created of course upon restarting System Restore and then I Defrag and still have the 11% or so of Data Fragmentation showing.
So, my question is: how do I find these Data Files that need to be Defragged?
Thanks for any help.
Gene
